The concept has been designed for the inner city castle ´Oberes Belvedere´ in Vienna. The arrival experience for visitors of this world class historic building is set to be completely refreshed. The new structure is being sunk into the ground in order to protect the significant classicist facade of the building und offers brand new information and arrival spaces, a shop, cloakroom and sanitary facilities. The proposed building works with local material such as an austrian stone. As an intelligent building layout the structural concept allows for reconfiguration of internal arrangements in the future.
